The lake in Central Park
Location: Mid-Park from 71th to 78th Streets.
Subway: Take the 6 and stop at 77th station.
This lake is the largest body of water after the Reservoir in Central Park. It offers various activities for park visitors to enjoy. Everyone loves it !

Around the lake you will see diverse places such as The Bethesda Terrace, the Loeb Boathouse and the Bow Bidge.
Go there and see all those places made famous by hundreds of movies.
It is really worth it!
First, do the most famous and popular activity on the lake : Rent a row boat at the Loeb Boathouse and have a beautiful and romantic stroll.
If you are hungry, you can have lunch or a snack at the Loeb Boathouse before your boat trip.
The Lake
Then from the lake, take a look at the fountain which is called the Bethseda Fountain. The Sculpture that tops it, Angel of Waters, was designed by Emma Stebbins in 1873 and is one of the most recognizable icons in the entire park.

While you will still be row boating, you will pass under a bridge, the Bow Bridge. This is another famous place in Central Park.
